Funding Opportunity: PA’s NEVI Round 1A Program

Program Announcement: The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced program details for Round 1A of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) funding opportunity.   While the PA NEVI program includes multiple rounds of funding, Round 1A will focus on closing gaps along the Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs) for electric vehicle (EV) charging, following Round 1 project selections.   Thirty-five corridor-groups are eligible for funding in Round 1A. An interactive map of EV registrations in the state is also available.   The application period will be open from Monday, December 11, 2023 through the application deadline of 5:00 PM EDT on Friday, January 26, 2023.   Funds for the PA NEVI grant program are to be awarded on a competitive basis to plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain EV Station Infrastructure sites across Pennsylvania. Program Details: The Funding Opportunity and additional materials for proposers’ reference and use are available on PennDOT’s Apply for NEVI Funds webpage.   A press release with additional details was issued by PennDOT on Monday, November 13th.   In related news, PennDOT also recently announced that the first NEVI site in Pennsylvania is now under construction. PA is among the first in the nation to reach this milestone. EPA’s 2023 Clean School Bus Rebate Program

Program Description: The EPA’s 2023 Clean School Bus (CSB) Rebate Program is open until January 31, 2024. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of 2021 authorizes EPA to offer rebates to replace existing school buses with clean and zero-emission (ZE) models, including propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), and battery electric (ZE). Rebate funding for zero emission models includes the replacement bus and charging infrastructure.Eligible applicants include public school districts, tribal applicants, and eligible third party for-profit, not-for-profit, or nonprofit service providers, including school bus dealers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), school bus service providers, and private school bus fleets.For complete details, please review the Clean School Bus Rebate Program Overview.NOTE: The program guidance and application process differ from prior EPA school bus rebate programs, so please review the summary of program requirements and the detailed program guide before proceeding.
