|The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced program details for Round 1A of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) funding opportunity. While the PA NEVI program includes multiple rounds of funding, Round 1A will focus on closing gaps along the Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs) for electric vehicle (EV) charging, following Round 1 project selections. Thirty-five corridor-groups are eligible for funding in Round 1A. An interactive map of EV registrations in the state is also available. The application period will be open from Monday, December 11, 2023 through the application deadline of 5:00 PM EDT on Friday, January 26, 2023. Funds for the PA NEVI grant program are to be awarded on a competitive basis to plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain EV Station Infrastructure sites across Pennsylvania.
