CLEAN CITIES FOR OUR REGION'S FUTURE:

The Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities Coalition helps to reduce petroleum consumption in the transportation sector by supporting the transition to cleaner fueling options.

Our mission is to advance the energy, economic and environmental security of the United States by reducing our reliance on petroleum, supporting local actions for clean fuel-transition and adoption, and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

To meet these goals, we build and support the infrastructure needed for a strong alternative fuel and alternative vehicle market in Western Pennsylvania and we serve the needs of our coalition supporters through education, business consulting, development grant writing, and management of Federal and State-funded projects.

We are one of over 70 regionally-based Clean Cities organizations coordinated by the U.S. Department of Energy to fulfill this vision of a cleaner tomorrow.

Through public-private partnerships, PRCC builds and supports the infrastructure needed for a strong alternative fuel and alternative fuel vehicle market in Western Pennsylvania.

REGIONAL CLIMATE ACTION GOALS:

2025

By 2025:

The State of Pennsylvania seeks to reduce its green-house gas emissions by 26% under its Climate Action Plan 2021.

2030

By 2030:

The City of Pittsburgh will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% from 2003 levels Municipalities participating in Pittsburgh’s Congress of Neighboring Communities (CONNECT)
will collectively reduce its emissions by 30% from 2018 levels.

As one of the original partners in the 2030 District Pledge, Allegheny County's committed to reducing utility and transportation emissions by 50%.
